FSSAI License Modification: When and How to Update Your License

Your FSSAI license must always reflect your current business details. If anything changes — address, products, business name, or ownership — you must apply for a license modification on FoSCoS within 30 days of the change.

When is FSSAI License Modification Required?

• Change of business address or addition of new premises
• Adding new food products to your existing license
• Removing food products no longer being manufactured/sold
• Change of business name (trading name)
• Change of proprietor/ownership/management
• Change of contact details (email, phone)
• Upgrading from Basic Registration to State License (due to turnover increase)
• Change in Kind of Business (KOB)

Process for FSSAI Modification on FoSCoS

1. Login to foscos.fssai.gov.in
2. Go to "My Licenses" and click on your license
3. Select "Apply for Modification"
4. Make the required changes in the form
5. Upload supporting documents for the change
6. Pay modification fee (if applicable)
7. Submit and track approval (3–7 working days)

Modification Fee
